The Best ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ Merch for Cheering On the Tune Squad

Warner Bros. struck movie merch gold in 1996 with Space Jam, the live-action and animated film starring Michael Jordan and the cartoon cast of Looney Tunes. Twenty-five years later, the studio will likely score a slam-dunk again with sports superfans with Space Jam: A New Legacy, the Malcolm D. Lee-directed sequel starring Los Angeles Lakers MVP LeBron James.

The movie arrives July 16 in theaters and on HBO Max, and it has already sparked at least 200 licensed collaborations, from Nike’s highly-anticipated apparel and accessories drop (which lands opening day at 7 a.m. PT) that includes shoes modeled after James’ onscreen pair, to Bloomingdale’s It’s Gametime Carousel pop-up of branded and inspired pieces (including a $1,500 art print by Exit Through the Gift Shop subject and graffiti artist Mr. Brainwash).

There’s also Vilebrequin’s Space Jam collection ($125 to $290) comprised of swimwear and beach towels; Tommy Hilfiger‘s range of Tommy Jeans basics and denim ($12.50 to $199); Fossil watches and small leather goods ($48 to $248) and apparel and accessories for women, men and kids at retailers such as Forever21, Gap, Old Navy, PacSun and Hot Topic (to name just a few). Beyond fashion, Space Jam fans can also stock up on breakfast cereals, bedsheets and basketballs at Target.

The 2021 film centers on the NBA superstar (who plays himself) and his son Dom (Cedric Joe), who become trapped in the Serververse by the villainous A.I. named Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle) and his Goon Squad team. An all-star lineup of basketball players also lend their talents to the movie, including Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, Nneka Ogwumike and Diana Taurasi. And there are plenty of cameos from characters across the WarnerMedia universe, including the Iron Giant, the Flintstones, King Kong and scores more.

Space Jam: A New Legacy can be streamed starting July 16 on HBO Max, which offers subscriptions for $10 per month with ads or $15 per month without ads.
