Reebok’s New ‘Clueless’ Sneakers Let Fans Step Into Cher and Dionne’s ’90s Style

Here’s another way to step into the world of Clueless.

Reebok has teamed with the iconic film on a women’s sneaker capsule ($85-$90) inspired by Cher, Dionne and Tai. The chunky Campio Extra platform kicks feature yellow and black plaid panels (nodding to Clueless‘ legendary BFFs), pops of neon pink and leopard-print sock liners. The Club C tennis sneakers feature yellow plaid shoelaces, a pearl lace charm and a removable pink pom-pom.

Both leather pairs pay tribute to the ’90s film with embroidered Clueless-inspired touches, such as the movie’s logo on the heel or quotes on the tongue label.

Inspired by Jane Austen’s novel Emma, Clueless was written and directed by Amy Heckerling and earned $56.7 million worldwide after it was released in July 1995. In addition to Silverstone and Rudd, the teen comedy starred Stacey Dash, the late Brittany Murphy, Elise Donovan, Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer and others. The film is available to stream on Paramount+ and is on sale for $4.99 at Prime Video. (Another option: Buy Clueless on disc to avoid potentially losing streaming access in the future.)

In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, costume designer Mona May reflected on the comedy’s fashion legacy.

“It’s so rewarding, Iggy Azalea, Kim Kardashian — who was wearing the costume with her daughter — and Taylor Swift were inspired by the yellow plaid outfit. And Harry Styles! The legacy just lives on,” May said. “To connect 30 years later, be here for the fans, express this feeling and be nostalgic of the times but also enjoy the happiness, the exuberance. It had some kind of innocence that we maybe craved. There were no cellphones, Instagram wasn’t ruling our lives.”

The Reebok x Clueless collab is among the releases tied to the movie’s 30th anniversary. Mattel paid homage to film with collectible Barbie dolls (available on Sept. 15), American Girl doll outfits, a Polly Pocket playset and a Fisher-Price Little People figurine collection, and Diff Eyewear debuted a Clueless sunglasses collection (currently 40 percent off for Labor Day).
